Artistic Practice

Patty is a professional bead designer and artist, a jewellery designer, tutor, consultant and the owner of a small craft material supply business, BeadbyBead, based in Nottingham.
Patty works with a wide range of materials employing different techniques such as seed beads, shibori, embroidery and soutache, while specializing in seed beads which are her passion and continual inspiration.

Patty lectures, demonstrates and runs beading classes both nationally in the UK and internationally, including the USA, Italy, Ukraine and Germany.

She also creates bead shape designs for manufacture to the bead market  

Patty has loved art and craft from an early age growing up in Colombia, and was lucky enough to live in Indonesia for two years (1991-93) where she studied batik and other traditional techniques. She was attracted to beads and beadwork while undertaking her degree in 3-Dimensional Design at South Nottingham College, graduating in 2004.

She has exhibited her work in craft & jewellery fairs and exhibitions across the UK.
