Artistic Practice

 I like to use threads as I would use paints to layer colours together and create exciting textures by manipulating fabrics . I love using smocking as a technique and introduce  beading and handstitch for added emphasis.

Sewing and painting have been lifelong pleasures for me but on retirement that I discovered  modern  embroidery. City and Guilds courses opened up a whole new box of delights , providing an absorbing pastime and  a wide circle of friends to share the passion.

 Exhibitions  at Belvoir Castle, Deene Park , the NEC.,  The Workhouse , Southwell and with the Collective Stitches touring exhibition.
