I love drawing and working in my sketchbooks, so my textile pieces usually begin there.

I layer a variety of different fabrics- some bought ones along with those which I have dyed and printed myself and then stitch by both hand and machine.

In 1972 I enrolled on a ‘Contemporary Embroidery’ evening class and I was hooked!

Much later I taught City & Guilds Embroidery and Textile Decoration before retiring and concentrating on my own work.

I have exhibited locally with four textile groups and am a member of West Bridgford Embroiderers Guild.
