Artistic Practice

Colour plays an important part in my work and hand dyeing helps to achieve the vibrancy and variation I am looking for.

The resulting fabric is further enhanced with various surface decoration techniques using stamps, screens or stencils before adding stitch – by hand or machine.

In addition to Living Threads, I have exhibited with various groups at Galleries, Museums, Textile Exhibitions and the NEC Birmingham .

On a more challenging level I have also exhibited outside in a garden and in a Victorian Pumping Station!
