Artistic Practice
Current work shows my love of experimentation, new ideas and new ways of working. Here I use recycled paper, layered, painted and sanded, as backgrounds. Print, hand and machine embroidery are also used to add detail and texture.
Artistic History
I had an early love of textiles and studied to degree level. This also included a City and Guilds Diploma in embroidery. I taught City and Guilds textiles in many subjects. After retiring from teaching, which I loved, it is now a joy to be able to focus on my own work.
