Artistic Practice

Most recent work includes textile collages from a variety of recycled fabrics and papers often painted, dyed or printed, combined with hand applique and stitch.  Recent influences, folk art, some work reproduced and sold as cards. Currently exploring using text in my work as I am also interested in creative writing.

Originally trained in printed textiles, I have also undertaken courses in felt-making and embroidery and run workshops in schools and exhibited through Living Threads and other local venues.  I now concentrate mainly on developing my own work
