I am a founder member of The Living Threads Group. I was one of the original teachers of textiles asked to undertake in-service training which led to the first exhibition in Elvaston Castle. Originally I taught as part of a Mixed Crafts group in Adult Education specialising in doll making.
Over the years I have diversified into patchwork, quilting but mainly hand embroidery. I do however use machine embroidery should I feel the piece requires it. I have completed several ecclesiastical items including several altar frontals and church hangings which were mainly machine embroidered due to their scale. However I always return to finer hand work for sheer enjoyment.
