Artistic Practice

My practice is centred on lace, encompassing both traditional and contemporary bobbin lace, designing, making and teaching it, through publications, online videos and teaching workshops, nationally and internationally with the objective of keeping the heritage craft alive for future generations. The work can be in wide range of materials.

Artistic History

After graduation with an MA in Art and design in Contemporary lacemaking, I set up a studio base in Derby from where I teach workshops and travel further afield to teach groups. I exhibit with various groups, including 98 Lace and in 2018 in New Jersey in ‘Lace Not Lace’
